Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (more commonly referred to as CS:GO) is an online, multiplayer first-person shooter that was released in 2012, courtesy of Valve and Hidden Path Entertainment. It’s one of several games within their Counter-Strike series, CSGO2 having been released in September of 2023.

The premise of the game is that players are divided into two teams: “Terrorists” and “ Counter-Terrorists” that compete against one-another in one of nine official game-modes.

In-game matchmaking is done directly via the Steam Platform
